Course Evaluation: What’s so great about Cyberporn & Society? April 30, 2006

This course was awesome! Aside from the fact that this 400-level class did not require a paper at any point in the course, here are the other reasons why this class rocked:

This course was a great experience for me for two major reasons:

1) I learned how to blog, which is really cool because as I grow older I feel like I am more and more resistant to new technology and their trends- mostly because I do not take the initiative to learn how to use or implement them- but this forced me to learn and actually master blogging! That is really an accomplishment for myself because I remember the first week of class, reading the assignment: "start a blog in wordpress", and having waves of panic and feelings of "what have I gotten myself into??!"

2) The second, and more important reason I am glad I took this class is because it forced me to think outside the box. I learned about the people outside, inside, and around pornography. I feel like I know both sides of the argument, for and against, pornography. It is always important to know both sides of the argument, no matter what side you are on. I believe the exposure I received in this class, to the field of pornography and sex, have really broadened my horizons to the plight of people on both sides of the fence and made me aware that this issue is not as black and white as it first appeared.

Thank you, Dr. Halavais.

Ha! It did too require a paper. Take a look at how much you have written over the last 15 weeks :) . There’s your paper.
